Minnesota Catholic Conference Speakers Bureau
Jason Adkins, ESQ
Executive Director and General Counsel
Jason Adkins has served as the executive director of the Minnesota Catholic Conference since March 2011. Prior to his advocacy work for the Church, Jason was an attorney at the Institute for Justice, a public interest law firm. Jason has clerked for both state and federal appellate judges and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he has served as an adjunct professor.

Maggee Hangge
Policy and Public Relations Associate
Maggee graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in Catholic Studies and in English in 2019. Her involvement in St. Paul’s Outreach propelled her zeal to live a life of discipleship and mission. She has spent time working in the youth ministry world. Then, in August 2020, Maggee joined the MCC team. In order to deepen her understanding of the Church, Maggee is currently working towards a master’s degree in Theology at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity.

Sarah Carter
Program Director for the Laudato Si’ Advocates Program
Sarah is the Program Director for the Laudato Si’ Advocates Program, an internship experience for young adult Catholics across the U.S. under the guidance of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Her work combines four of her favorite things: the Church, the environment, young people, and politics! Sarah holds a master's degree in Theology from the Saint Paul Seminaries, where she focused her research on Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ and its implications for Catholic spirituality, and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas. Her previous work experience includes content development at the Minnesota Catholic Conference and teaching high school theology at Hill-Murray School. She is passionate about communicating an integrated vision of Catholic social teaching and takes Laudato Si’ as a starting point for much of her work. Sarah lives in South St. Paul with her husband and two children.

Ryan Hamilton
VP of Government Affairs and General Counsel for the NUWAY Alliance
Ryan Hamilton is a "cradle Catholic" who grew up in Greenville, South Carolina where his family were members of the Saint Anthony of Padua parish and he attended St Mary's Catholic school. He was scholarship athlete at Wake Forest University and went on to receive his law degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2009, Ryan has spent his working days in and around the Minnesota State Capitol complex in St Paul. Ryan Hamilton leveraged his experience with the legislative process along, finely honed interpersonal communication abilities, and passion for advocacy as a lobbyist for various organizations, including a three year stint with the Minnesota Catholic Conference. He currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel for the NUWAY Alliance, a growing nonprofit that provides professional treatment and recovery services for persons suffering from substance use disorder. As a lobbyist, Ryan enjoys working with political leaders and stakeholders to shape legislation that serves human dignity and the common good.
